Laetitia Casta Gallery (Photos & Video)

Laetitia Casta is a French model and actress. And, yes, she sure is beautiful! Apparantly she was discovered by a photographer when she was only 15, on a family holiday. All we can say at Beauty Geeks is, 'Thank you Mr. Photogrpaher!'.

After the jump you'll find over 30 laeticia casta pics and videos...enjoy! (Warning: Some nude shots lie within...)

Eva Green Gallery

Eva Green is the stunning French actress, probably best known for her role as Vesper in Casino Royale. However, although she is gorgeous in that film (you can see some pics of her from that after the jump, actually), fans of Beaty Geeks would probably enjoy watching her in The Dreamers.

Check out our beautiful Eva Green pics after the jump!

Katie Downes Gallery

Katie Downes is a model from the UK, and totally deserving of a place on Beauty Geeks. A pint-sized Liverpudlian (she's only 4ft11, bless her), what she doesn't have in height she more than makes up for in beauty: a gorgeous face, and one hell of a body!

Check out our Katie Downes pics after the jump!

Beautiful Music: Xuefei Yang

Xuefei Yang is an amazing classical guitarist from China - and I'm going to see her in concert on Friday! Really can't wait - just listen to her play 'Sevilla' above, it's just beautiful. I'll include some more of her performances after the jump.

Beautiful TV: Ed

Ed was an amazing, heart-warming comedy-drama that aired between 2000 - 2004. Starring Tom Cavanagh and Julie Bowen, it told the story of Ed Stevens, a New York lawyer who loses his job, and finds out his wife is cheating on him, all on the same day.

So, he does what any man would do in this situation - goes back to his home town of Stuckeyville, buys a bowling alley, and falls in love (all over again) with his high-school crush.

Ed was (and is) a truly beautiful series, featuring riduculously grand romantic gestures (including the time when Ed wears a full-blown suit of armour!), life-affirming stories, beautiful friendships, laugh-out-loud hilarity, and, even though I've said it before in this same sentence, pure romance.

It was such a shame when they decided to finish this fantastic series, and an even bigger shame that they still haven't released any DVDs (and I'm not sure they ever will).

I've included the promo for the first series of Ed below, and, if you're interested, you can browse Stuckeyville.com for lots more Ed-related goodness.

Have you seen Ed? Think it's beautiful? Write a comment below and let me know!

Beautiful Songs: Decode by Paramore (Acoustic)

This is a gorgeous song in its own right, but the above live acoustic version is just incredible. Hayley Williams' vocals are amazing! How on earth does someone so slight have such a powerful voice? Sit back and enjoy this piece of audio beauty!

Taylor Swift Gallery

I'm not even going to go into the whole Taylor/Kanye debacle, other than to say that it's going to have a much better effect on the beautiful Taylor Swift's career rather than on that ugly Kanye's one.

Many examples of Taylor Swift's gorgeousness is below...

Beautiful Songs: Glycerine by Bush

'Glycerine' is from Bush's debut album, Sixteen Stone, and is a truly beautiful song. That palm-muted guitar, so simple, yet so effective; a haunting melody, and, of course, Gavin Rossdale's awesome voice.

Nikkala Stott Gallery

Nikkala Stott is an English model, and is a classic beauty. So, you don't need me rambling on - just check out these amazing pictures!

Beautiful Books: Holes by Louis Sachar

Holes, by Louis Sachar, made me cry. Yes, I am a grown man. And, no, I don't cry easily. But this beautiful novel made me shed more than a single tear, I can tell you. If you haven't read it, then I won't spoil it by saying the tears came from sadness or joy - but know that you should stop reading this, and go find Holes to read right away to find our for yourself!

Beautiful Songs: Falling In Love by NOFX

Yes, they are a punk band - a classic punk band, at that - which most people don't associate with 'beauty', but I think there's lots of beauty in NOFX's songs, and in particular this track.

Princess Madeleine Gallery

With the world reeling from the news that Princess Madeleine of Sweden is no longer single, (well, actually, I'd never heard of her - had you?), I thought it was my duty to seek out more info, and see if she was worthy of a post on Beauty Geeks.

Beautiful Art: Andy Buck's Pencil Drawings

Andy Buck is an amazing artist from the UK - just look at the incredible work he can do, using pencil only!

Beautiful Architecture: Castles

I fell in love with castles from an early age, when my parents took me to see some of the amazing North Wales castles. So I've managed to see some of these 'in the flesh' - but I wish I could say I've seen them all! Oh well, just another thing to aim for in life I suppose...

Beautiful Moments: The Red Arrows Through A Rainbow

Quite a sight, huh? The Red Arrows are always spectacular, but this particular event in Cornwall had the added beauty of a perfect rainbow to fly through.

Katy Perry Gallery

OK, she may not be the world's greatest singer (see our section on beautiful voices for some fantastic vocalists), but she is definitely beautiful! Ever since she burst on to the music scene with her 'I kissed a girl' smash hit, she's been getting more and more exposure. And that's not a bad thing!

Beautiful Games: Crysis

Crysis is easily one of the most beautiful video games ever created, and certainly one of the most demanding on your PC! Check out the amazing video above (make sure you watch it in HD) and see the screenshots below as proof (click on them to make them bigger).

Beautiful TV: Sony BRAVIA Advert

This is a beautiful piece of television, and an advert that we all probably remember. It's such a simple concept too, with thousands of multi-coloured balls bouncing naturally down our man-made streets. The imagery, combined with Jose Gonzalez's gorgeous cover of the song 'Heartbeats' by The Knife, makes for a truly beautiful advert. I couldn't remember what the ad was actually selling - but that's not the point, is it...?

By the way, this is best viewed in high-definition, so make sure to click 'HD' when you watch it above.

What do you think of this? Think it's beautiful? Disagree? Let me know!

Beautiful Animals: Squirrels

I can't believe some people think these creatures are no more than nut-eating rats! I mean, just look at these pictures - squirrels are absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful Songs: Home

'Home', by Zero 7, is a gorgeous track - a haunting melody, beautifully sung by Tina Dico. Really, the vocals are amazing. I've put two different performances of the song on here, and they've both spectacular. The one above is a full band performance, and below you'll find an acoustic solo. Check them both out, they're just beautiful.

Rachel Weisz Gallery

Rachel Weisz, who is approaching her 40th birthday in 2010 (unbelievably!), is a beautiful british actress, probably most famous for her roles in The Mummy films. I remember seeing her in the 1997 film Stealing Beauty, starring alongside the also-beautiful Liv Tyler (who will definitely be getting her own feature on the site sometime soon!). Thanks to Gary at fretpoint for suggesting this gorgeous actress.

Beautiful Songs: The Bends

Although I could just as easily be talking about Radiohead's entire album, I am actually referring to the title track itself - 'The Bends' is an awesome, beautiful, soaring song. That descending guitar riff, which comes in at 2:03 on the above video, is truly beautiful - simple, yes, but just awesome! The solo at 2:58 is a thing of beauty also.

Beautiful Design: Lamps

I wish I had some of these in my home... Thanks to Mark S from collthings.co.uk for pointing out the beauty of lamps!

Beautiful Music: The E.T. Theme

Not only does this tune take me back to my childhood, but it is so full of hope and wonder that it never fails to make me feel uplifted. Written by the amazing John Williams, the main theme to the 1982 film 'E.T.' (wow, was it really that long ago?) is a masterclass in composition - I challenge you to listen and not find it beautiful!

Beautiful Art: MS Paint Drawings

Matti Nikki from Muzzy.net has created these beautiful images, using only his mouse and MS Paint! Now, I don't know about you, but I can't even draw a circle using my mouse! It's amazing that these drawings can be done free-hand; a truly remarkable talent. I love them so much that I've used one as my 'geek' image - thanks, Matti!

Vikki Blows Gallery

Vikki Blows is a model from the UK, and has a truly striking, unique look - a different kind of beauty from the usual supermodel. And, yes, that is her real name apparently. I suppose you could say she has quite a Gothic style, with her mixture of dark hair and pale skin - I think it's totally beautiful.

Beautiful Games: Oblivion

Oblivion is a truly beautiful game. When it was released for the PC and XBOX 360 back in 2006 it was a revelation: a massive, open world, where you were free to do exactly as you wished. When your character emerges from the sewers at the very beginning of the game, and you face that awesome scenery...well, it blew me away. I don't think a game had looked quite as beautiful as this before.

Beautiful Websites: BeFunky.com

BeFunky.com can turn your photos into beautiful pieces of art at the click of a button! It's really easy to use, you don't need to register, and you can see the results almost instantly. There are lots of different effects, so play around turning your snaps into charcoal drawings, cartoons, stencils or much more. A beautiful idea!

Beautiful Animals: Moths

Wow! I saw an item on these on 'The One Show' a couple of nights ago - how beautiful are they?

Beautiful Music: The Last Of The Mohicans Soundtrack

This film has the most amazing music throughout, and the truly epic 'Main Title' is just so beautiful - it makes me all tingly whenever I hear it! Rightfully winning an Oscar for Best Sound, the score adds so much to what is already a beautifully shot film (featuring Madeleine Stowe, who has her own post on Beauty Geeks here), that I can't imagine the movie without it.

Beautiful Books: Jude The Obscure

Thomas Hardy's classic novel, Jude The Obscure, is one of my favourite books - and is a thing of beauty. There are many reasons why I think it's so beautiful, but the main reason has to do with Hardy's dealing of romance and marriage. In Jude he tells the story of a pure romance, one that doesn't need a piece of paper to justify their love. It's not that I think badly of marriage - I am happily married, myself! - it's just a beautiful, romantic notion, that is so powerfully written about. He also created a one-of-a-kind heroine in Sue Bridehead, a delicate yet powerful figure - who, incidentally, is portrayed beautifully by Kate Winslet in the film of the same name.

Have you read Jude The Obscure? Let me know what you think!

Beautiful Songs: Falling Slowly

From the beautiful film 'Once', comes this amazing song. 'Falling Slowly' rightfully won the Best Original Song Oscar, and this live performance is just gorgeous. Glen Hansard's simple-yet-striking guitar, his sensitive vocals; Marketa Irglova's lovely piano and beautiful harmonies - it all adds up to one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Do you think 'Falling Slowly' is beautiful? Let me know!

Beautiful Films: Leaving Las Vegas

The story of an alcoholic and a prostitute doesn't sound like it's going to be too beautiful, does it? But it certainly is. The way the love blossoms between Nicholas Cage and Elizabeth Shue, the sadness and the tragedy...it's all so beautiful. An amazing soundtrack is the icing on the cake. If you haven't seen it, you owe it to yourself to track the DVD down!

Have you seen Leaving Las Vegas? Think it's beautiful? Let me know!

Beautiful Places: Barcelona

Barcelona is a magical city - a total 'must see'. I went there for my honeymoon and was totally blown away by the place. It is a feast for beauty lovers - from the majestic 'La Sagrada Familia' (which you can see above), to the amazing light and music fountain show (see below).

Madeleine Stowe Gallery

There's something just so unique about Madeleine Stowe - an elegant beauty that you just can't put your finger on. As far as I know, she's never been featured on any 'Top 100' women lists (or she hasn't ranked highly if she has), and you don't hear her name banded about when people are talking about their favourite celebrities, either. And why not? I really don't know

Beautiful Photos: Las Vegas Interior

(click the pic to see it bigger - or visit Stuck In Customs)

You wouldn't instantly think of inside photography when you're thinking of beauty - but I think this is amazing. Trey Ratcliff, from Stuck In Customs, took this photo, and waved his magic HDR wand over it. As a result, an interior shot of what I believe is a hotel in Las Vegas, has turned into a thing of real beauty.

Do you love it too? Let me know!

Beautiful Voices: Karen Carpenter

Those rich, deep, smooth tones...truly unmistakable, and truly beautiful.

It is one of the world's greatest tragedies, the story of Karen Carpenter. How a woman with such talent (as well as having one of the most gorgeous voices in the world, she was also a mean drummer) could be taken away from us so soon, at the prime of her life...well, it's just so sad. There has never been - and probably never will be - a voice like hers: it sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it. Truly beautiful.

If you like this, you'll probably enjoy our beautiful voices section, or perhaps our beautiful songs and music sections.

Beautiful TV: Dawson's Creek

A totally beautiful series, in virtually every way. The actresses? Oh yes. The setting? Gorgeous. The dialogue? A bit heavy-going and multi-syllablic, but that was part of the charm. What made this classic series so beautiful though, in my mind, is what it stood for - the morales and values of the characters.

To put it mildly, this series was the antithesis to channel 4's 'Skins'. Instead of revelling in the hedonism of teenage life - the drink binges, the casual sex - Dawson's Creek had a much more romantic outlook on youth. These weren't kids who were jumping in and out of bed with each other - Dawson, Pacey et al would much rather have a quiet date at the local cinema, a row up the creek, or a heartfelt discussion.

They were sensitive, intelligent, caring and romantic - Dawson's Creek, even though it ended wrongly (in my opinion! I mean, how come she went off with Pacey? Dawson was the one!) it still stands as a thing of beauty, and a series I will be forcing my children to watch someday.

What do you think? Let me know!
